Bad Luck Bites Me In The Ass Again

I hate it when this happens. I was playing really good poker on Full Tilt today and made it to the final table of a 350+ player turbo tournament and had this happen to me:

Converted at weaktight.com

UTG pbgsac (56856)
CO JEFF (58810)
BTN Unkas78 (70810)
SB stompint (298071)
BB dunkzilla (47953)

Blinds: 5000/10000 Ante 1000

Pre-flop: (20,000, 5 players) JEFF is CO

pbgsac goes all-in 55,856, Jeff goes all-in 57,810, 3 folds

Flop: (138,666, 2 players)

Turn: (138,666, 2 players)

River: (138,666, 2 players)

Final Pot: 131,712
pbgsac shows:
Jeff shows:

Jeff wins 1,954 ( lost -55,856 )

I guess I shouldn’t complain. I finished 5th and made $125 for a $5 entry fee which will pay for my trip to Seabrook tomorrow to play live poker.

Online poker players cheated

AbsolutePokerDotComI’ve stopped playing online poker ever since Congress tacked on an anti-online gambling bill to a safe port bill. I still know plenty of people that play online poker though, and they always tell stories of how they think it’s “rigged” and the online sites are “cheating.” I would always defend the poker sites by saying that they have nothing to gain by rigging the games. It would hurt their business. Boy was I wrong.

Turns out at absolutepoker.com, a site that I’ve played on briefly, a part owner and former executive for the site has been busted for cheating the games. He was able to see what other players hole cards were.

If there was any chance of ever getting the anti-gambling law repealed, this guy has single handedly blown that chance. Make me glad that I stick to playing at Foxwoods, Seabrook, and with friends.
